Throw down a hook or two, to get everyone's creative juices flowing.
It may just be the start of your next gaming group for this setting.
What about a theme to go with it?

There is a tunnel underneath the town/city. Rumor has it people go in but never come out. What's down there. . .or better question is there nothing down there. And when I say nothing I mean the worst kind of nothing.
Someone calls you up. Saying they know you. They tell you things that no one knows about you. They say that they are your family but you think they are crazy until you realize some of your memories are missing some logical facts. You try to call them back, but the line has been disconnected. . .

You read the paper almost daily, and in the last week you have noticed a lot of missing persons in it.
"poor bastards,"
You have just come home from work, to find the door open. You walk in seeing the tears on wall, the destroyed furniture and everything tossed around.
You look for your family, you find your spouse barely alive
'they took are little girl, (sob), please find her before they turn her into one of th....."
The only clue is a symbol drawn on the wall, its been showing up all over the city recently

Well hunter seems to be the best zombie survial system. When you look at most zombie movies the "Heros" are hunters in various degrees. It may seem like a easy game but how long can a survior hold his sanity when there is no future??

Another heavy case file is hefted into your line of sight.
"Another one huh? You know I haven't even finished the last one yet right?" you mutter.
"Yeah, I know," the sassy young Jersey girl replied. "This is the workup you asked me for two days ago, so I'd appreciate some thanks when I work my toucas off, heh?"
"Yeah...umm, thanks sweetheart."
Looking through a few pages in the front of the Manila folder you stop.
"I told you not to call me that, you know my services are just as good in any office. I could..."
He broke her pandering off. "Wait, hold on a sec. Ms. Esher. Did you say two days ago? You mean when I was on a stakeout out of town, two days ago?"
"Yeah, so wha... Oh my god! Boss I swear I had no idea! $h*t! He... It was in here?!" She was nearly screaming in terror.
"Look, calm down. I need you to compile a workup on everything he had you do for him that day. Do you understand? Then call up the boys on Baker Street. You know the ones. Here's my card, take a week off out of town. I will call you when the locks have been changed and its alright to come back to work." Your voice was hardened, and quick to decide. Damn, they'd never got you so close to home before. And in your office? $h*t!
"Will he follow me? Should I call anyone?" She was nearly frantic now.
"Hey," your voice calmed her a little, "I really need you right now. This guy is good, and he's gonna strike again. Just do as I ask, and I'll make sure you're alright. Remember, I'll call, so if anyone comes knocking, its not someone you can trust. Make sure your gun is in your purse, and your purse is with you. Now go, we need to hurry. Get the Baker Street Boys on line two please."
