Throw down a hook or two, to get everyone's creative juices flowing.
It may just be the start of your next gaming group for this setting.
What about a theme to go with it?

There was a murder. The ghost of the victim can't rest until her/his murder is brought to justice.
You found an Aluvian Gate. . .but it hasn't closed. A child has wondered in. Some of the search party have gotten lost there as well. What does the party do?

Now guys are both smart enough to know as long as the first letter and the last letter are right, and the there is the right amount of letters in the word. Everyone will know what it is.

We'd have to be able to by now, otherwise, we'd rarely understand each other most of the time. However, sometimes when it comes to game terms (and sometimes any terms) we don't always share the same strength of vocabulary. I for one have referred to online dictionary, or even the game guides just to make myself able to comprehend and formulate responses.
Not all the time, but enough to make it worth mention.

Saddly I don't own the book yet and didn't feel like making adobe go through it slow ass movement to find the word.
Ironic that all would be the increase of posts rather than an actual exchange of plot hook ideas. . .

Geist is still a squeaky, unnatural, strange little system, with no definite edge, or direction. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
We speak to dead people, because for a brief time we were one, just long enough to ask not to be.
The dead may require you to unveil the secret of their death to put family at ease, that's all well and good, we can play the Sixth Sense if you like.
Or, maybe there is something a little more difficult. The last member of a long family line who happened to own vast fortunes. Those who killed her did so for the very secret that protected her wealth, and your task is to recover that secret and take it to a liaison , or benefactor that she never named in her will or otherwise for his own safety.
You need to not only locate him, but perhaps get his help (if he believes you) and return her secret to him, so he may put her family's wealth to use. (But is he the very same killer? haha! What are the possible consequences of you revealing your possible contact with such a "celebrity" around the time of her death?)

A man has come to you asking you for assistance. He thinks he's come across a doomsday prophecy that has shown to have some legitimacy. There is an allusion to being able to stop it but he can't find the answer in any text. It must have died with the civilization. He's heard how you have acquired information and doesn't care how you do it. He's fearful and willing to pay.

You feel a tug on your shirt, and look down.
"mister, have you seen my mommy" a sad little girl looks up at you.
First thing you notice is she is kinda see threw, and she is wearing a summer dress in the middle of winter.
"I've haven't been able to find them in forever, and no one else will talk to me." (she starts crying)
