What is that one-must have book for your favorite game? Is it that extra monster Folio everyone dreads, that special arms and equipment guide, or your Traveler's Trusty Tome? Which is it for you?

I have a couple. If it's dnd its the Arms and Equipment Guide. If it's Battletech it is the Losttech handbook.
The Arms and Equipment Guide simply rocks. What is a flamberge (greatsword) in 3.5? how 'bout a wo dao (bastard sword)? Maybe you want to have some exotic items to sell (to cover as a merchant) or maybe you simply want something unique? It's all there, and so much more.
The Losttech Handbook is alot like the AnE Guide. Expanded Gear, Items specific to certain regions/ religious cults, all sorts of nifty things.

I don't know that I have any must-haves, but I like to keep something on hand with the most "setting flavor". Like in World of Darkness, they have clan books that are full of a variety of narratives with many different styles of storytelling, usually from a character's point of view. This gives me the most insight on what a gamer's story should look like, and what keeps players interested. The only thing that NONE of them do well yet is to narrate a story for a party that still sounds interesting... Maybe I should write THAT, and see what comes up.
