As some of you know, I am scheduled to work during this month's BRB. I am not pleased about it, but having reached some dire times, I find it best to just suck it up.
Please continue as usual, and bring a friend if you can to meet the rest and game on. Anyone wanna drop a one shot game this month?
On a side note, Werewolf: the Forsaken was being run the second Sunday of each month in the evening. This month's second Sunday is now free of our gaming schedule, perhaps our gaming group could try to catch a movie together and grab some food before or after?
Resident Evil Afterlife The Expendables Devil
and some others are playing currently. I know the choices are so-so, and most of you have probably seen them, but its an option.

The one-shot idea is more posted for those who do not already have a prior engagement in progress. It's easy to recall having a half dozen or more gamers sitting with nothing to do during meetings. And while fending for ourselves is okay, preparing for an opportunity is not a terrible idea.

Shall we continue on without him? Or wait to hold the session another week? I'm asking those involved with the game - xenocide, Labael, and Rjrock.

Continue on. I gonna try to introduce myself to new people more so at these things. Maybe I might take some initiative to introduce the new people to everyone else. Maybe start by seeing what they want to get out of the club.
I love being in Lady Masquerade's game, but I am worried that three key members of the club are in a game while new peoples are left being bored. We are kinda not letting people enter into our cliche. I am seeing new faces but few people are staying.
A welcome committee or something might be nice. I don't know. Brian and me are the most social out of us. Alex at times can be as well, but something has to be done about how we handle new people. We could set up a Whose Line Game for one of our club meetings.
I agree with droz. Having a bunch of bored gamers isn't helping. We need to be a community to our fellow geeks.

I also don't want to lead this just yet. I got so much on my plate at the moment. . .but if God willing, I might find the strength to do this. I'm an introvert that plays at being an extrovert. It's draining sometimes.

I don't disagree that Whose Line is a fine Ice-Breaker, as we saw with Becky in particular, however I would suggest something a little more gamer oriented.
This is why I suggested a one-shot game. OR, we could always pull out the tried-and-true if but ridiculous Dork Tower, where the party tries their darndest to NOT face the goblin minion. LOL.
Seriously though, we have things like Descent, Dragon Strike, D&D Minis, Three Dragon Anti, and all kinds of other stuff that adheres to what we're about at these meetings.
This is one time that I would like to if possible call on those who are not playing the current 4E game to take the reins in order to allow for flow. This would not only allow for everyone to do what they came to do, but also usher in the new faces.
Or better yet, since the vote on the game's progress seems on the fence, go ahead and play, and simply make room for proper breaks, and introductions, and pair some people up together to chat.
We are not above the gestures that are used in a kindergarten class to help people meet new friends. As Dr. Sheldon Cooper would say, the methods are certain to be transferable.
My only trouble is now, knowing that I am likely doomed to miss every meeting til football season is over, you're all just going to have to figure something out and hope for the best.
I offered it, we built it, they came to play. What more do you need?
