We are geeks. We have all done it in some way. I just recently did one I think. Girl sends me a msg over facebook "hi". I send "thank God!" and am in the process of typing "I can't find the party's address on googlemaps, my gps, and mapquest." and she goes offline. Lmao! Not the first for me. Bad mouthing a girl's tattoo, taking a date to see Hostel, getting into a heated argument over justice, mercy, and grace with on a first date. Walking around like a monkey in public. . .(not all are date related.) So what's your breach? (did I spell that right. . .or am I saying a pair of pants. . . :/ ) Attachments:

Spelling is fine.
Mine might include things like: first time at girlfriend's house, immediately chatting up her brother about his video game collection. Then there's playing cards with girl and her parents and ask "do you guys play anything like palace?"
Best one is probably arranging a "study date" but bringing the backpack full of D&D books instead of school books then having to explain that not only am I not part of a cult but also that I am not evil or going to have a seance.
Yeah. My geek flag is much easier to hide now, but my understanding of that into adulthood coupled with my marriage to a realized geek as well allows me to fly that flag proudly and better understand it's appropriateness. However, I still slip from time to time, and will gladly post them when they happen.

walking into a study group with a set of dice, explaining what the significance of each one was in dnd. that sucked, cuz the teacher was there. (she was in her 80's) i had alot of explaining to do.
on my first outing with a girl, trying to explain why i carried a magic card in my wallet (watchwolf from ravnica block) that magic wasnt REAL magic, and that i wasnt some demon trying to get control over her -_- that relationship didnt last long. she still gives me sideways glances when she thinks i dont see it.
lastly, my best would be playing dnd at a family outing with my friends who had just "randomly" shown up, and yelling "yes! critical! 4d12+8! take that you (explicative) (explicative) dragon!" and having more people scared than mad for the explicatives.
good times, good times.

There is now a class for me. "Realized Geek". Sounds so sophisticated.
I can't think of any offhand although I am sure there are plenty. But for the most part I try to keep the geekness contained to within groups that I know will understand or can at least handle it. Droz would probably remember a few if I don't.
