I might be willing to play. Like I asked Alex for his Geist game: Whats the point, focus, mood, and theme going to be?
I ask so that I may determine whether or not I want to make a character and so that I may make a character in line with the focus of your game.

Warhammer, I want to have the classic feel brought to the table.
A hopeless grim world where death is at every inch, but the characters still cling on for survival.
Mainly, I want to start every char off as common townsfolk, wether they be soldiers or fish mongers.
I won't reveal what will happen, but be ready for a hard struggle for life and death.

With my Game, I'll be starting you in a small town North of Grunburg, the Heart of the Empire.
With my games, as always, politics, religion, and war will be at your doorstep, but its up to you on which path you take.

Nebelburg is a town of trade and peace. Being in the Heart of the Reikland, they have always known the gifts of Grunburg, Altdorf and Nuln. They have known little hardship, though the occasional beastmen raid has been their only grievance. Thankfully a quick fusillade from a unit of local guards, has always been the perfect cure to put down the threat.
As of late, the mayor of the town, has been in a joyous mood as he has finally wed for the third time. The Mayor, being a minor noble, has a notorious reputation for excess, which shows on the plump man's physical features. The town, thankfully, makes enough coin in trade and exports that there is plenty of excess to pass around.
The excess of the town, has given birth to a new breed of merchants, cut throats, and tradesmen. The town, like most growing towns, has drawn the attention of other minor nobles, causing it to be both the area of vocational interest as well as political interest.
It is with the final days of construction of Nebelburg's first Sigmarite temple that you are found guilty of a crime you did not commit. It is to be your final days. . . Though on the day of your trial, if you can call it that, you were given the chance to serve the town Guard. You were given the chance of freedom if you swear forever enduring loyalty to your Town and Mayor. . . Though the Empire and the Emperor were not mentioned in your vow. . .
Will you accept the call?
(This game will allow you to play Any type of character you can think of. You can be a Noble or a bread maker, A halfling or an Ogre, you can be guilty, or innocent. . . Though remember, in the Grim World of Warhammer, Innocence proves nothing.)

NOW you have answered my question, and I thank you greatly. My interest went from "Meh, I could be persuaded." to "Holy shit! I need to get in on this!"
I will begin working on a character idea, posthaste.

From the view of the player
It was a cold morning, but the heat was soon to show in the form of a hot iron. Each of the 50 prisoners were branded with the same mark, the mark of a convicted murderer. It was in that lot of 50 that our future 5 adventurers found their common lives placed at risk. Snatched from their daily life, they were thrown into a situation that few lived to talk about.
In the eyes of the Empire, that mark meant they were already dead. . . But in their hearts, none of them considered their life over just yet.
Forced on wagons, forced to march, the 50 found their lives pitched in a grim skirmish in the darker forests of the Empire.
After abuse and death, torture and despair the group and other prisoners had one thing on their mind. "Freedom."
In a quick rebellion the group took the lives of their captures as well as their freedom.
Now free, but still showing the brand of murder, the group set out, in hopes of making it a true free escape.
OOC/Storyteller stand point
The Mayor of Nebelburg was a man of ambition, as are most minor nobles. He was also, a man who liked to speak loudly when he was drunk.
At his 3rd wedding, after a few drinks, the Mayor let slip his thoughts about the Empire and the Emperor. The court, passing it off as a drunk man's ramblings, knew they had nothing to worry about.
The Defense General of the Reikland Territories, learned of the Mayor's ill wishes twords the Emperor. With no proof, the General had to keep his blades sheathed. In the current politics, the Emperor passed the General's wishes off, claiming his old friend was just being paranoid.
Feeling slighted, the General raised a secret band of Tilean Mercenaries to capture the Sigmarite Church Members on their way to Nebelburg. In the eyes of the General, with the sacred rights to the newly built Sigmarite temple not preformed, the giant building project would go to waste and show the incompetence of the Mayor. Such incompetence would mean the political death of any noble, as we all know, Nobles are worse then wolves.
Unknown to the General, the Merc's did quick work to beat and cudgel locals into doing the work for them. Paying a few locals off and forcing a few others, the Merc's got the job done and quite efficiently at that.
The mayor knew he did not have the current coinage or the rights to raise a free company or militia without aid of the other nobles. Wishing not to show his folly in a court (As that would mean his political death) the mayor quickly found a better way to fight this threat.
With the convenient death of a single town house widow, the mayor put her death to use by convicting 100 random citizens of her murder.
In the current times, the Empire just suffering the Storm of Chaos, putting to death mass amounts of people became so common local nobles and judges began overlooking any death sentence written in the books. The death sentences the mayor ordered for the 100 people were overlooked without care.
Forcing 50 into the newly formed Free company, and hanging the other 50 as a convincing show to the town folk, the mayor had a free company of fodder he could throw around freely, as they were already dead in the Empire's eyes.
In a twisted game of underhanded politics, both sides waged war.
In a twisted game of politics, both sides lost.
When the Mercenaries finished their job, and received their pay, the Merc's were quick to dismiss themselves back to Tilea. Without word from the Mercs, the locals in charge of holding the Sigmarites, kept to their duty.
This would soon become the locale's doom as the creatures of the forest did not enjoy the trespassing of humanity.
With the Majority of the Locale's and all of the Sigmarites slaughtered to roaming bands of Greenskins and Beastmen, the remaining locals fled north to the edge of the forest to make camp and regroup. There, the locals stayed in hopes of the return of the Tilean Mercenaries.
Once again the wrath of Sigmar came down upon the Locals as the Company of "murderers" were forced to clear out the "rebel bandits".
With the last of the "bandits" slaughtered, the "murderous" band newly daubed "Ball'zy cocks" were told to await further orders.
The mayor, having heard of the death of Sigmarites and of the failure of the Murderous band, simply ignored the messengers. The mayor let the fate of the Murderous band be thrown into the wind.
Wishing only Freedom, the Ball'zy cocks were fast to seize their freedom and kill their task mastering officers.
With their fates back in their own hands, the Ball'zy Cocks knew they must flee. . . In hopes of starting a new life, they set South for Tilea. . .
Now the Adventure begins. . . Will they make it?
