Game Idea: I will go with a Warhammer setting and System, for simplicity. Easy system, just roll the core stat to pass w/e act your trying to accomplish in times of actually needing dice. I will not focus on combat or even the table top version of warhammer. As I told si, I want to show that warhammer isn't all about sticking a flintlock down the mouth of a beastman and pulling the trigger.
In the past we have had games where the dm tries to get all the people to be happy. Stretch the game and stretch the group to make sure all are pleased and stay in the game. Offing that, 4 people Max, Si and Rusty want in, so 2 more to go.
I want people that will actually act and go forward. I don't want watchers, or people who won't do their own thinking. I am not here to make a circle jerk, but I'm not here to tell my own story. This is a game where the players and the game need to work together.
This game needs characters that will work with the setting. Mystery, Crime, politics, social. . . Yes in a world built on war, we are going away from the stereotype.
This game is founded on a different style of roleplay. Putting it into words is difficult, but. . . any questions will be answered.
I have run only four games my whole life. (with the exceptions of the one night stand games) One WoW game that I had for my first experience, too many players for little old me to handle. . . As well as a number of technical problems. A warhammer strategy/Rp introduction game that was a good experiment. . . Something that someday might work. And for my third game, a Warhammer game that got de-railed and faded away do to real life issues. For my last game, I held a forum game that was a fun experiment that lasted the better part of a year, which has been put down do to my departure from Texas and the following mess and stress that come with moveing.
I want to have a game that goes on, a game that the players are into and dedicated to. A game, for once, seen from start to finish. I have matured quite a bit, a safe assumption to say I have changed a good bit while I have been gone. . . This will be a new experience for everyone. A different style of RP, a different style for myself, but a style that I have full confidence in. If your interested, shoot me a message. Thanks!

- The stench of the board walk was over-powering. . . Fredrick Von Sonnecough had to hold his scented cloth to his face in a futile attempt to ward off the vile smells. River water, Ogre stench, trash, dead fish and the smell of even more sinister things clogged the air. The smell didn't phase Borris Desvetzi the fish monger from Kislev, he worked at the docks every day. - The posh noble Fredrick eyed Borris with disgust as the fish monger hacked off the heads of fish only to slide them from his table into the street. The head would go the to left, onto the cobble stoned street connected to the woodworks of the board walk. The body of the decapitated fish would slide to the right into a bloody bucket of headless fish. It took Fredrick a minute or two before he could stomach the breath needed to speak.
- "Disgusting. . . Your father worked hard in life, only for you to throw it away here in Altdorf. . . A damn shame. Tell me, Borris. . . Are the rumors true?"
- Borris, with a yellow toothed grin, spoke of the night before. His Kislvite accent carried on, one could hear the native of the snow and wind of the North in his voice. "Da, zey came alright. . . I was drinking my vodka as always, vhen I heard ze noise. . . Not my problem I say to my self. . . I work hard for living, no need to zrow it away. . . but zen. . . Problem came to me." Borris ended his last words with a dark foreboding nod.

- Fredrick stood over the dead girl's body. His scented cloth tightly in hand over his hooked nose. The sheriff of the Northern Dock's stood next to the posh noble, a hand on his cudgel in case any of the local dock workers got any ideas. Fredrick wasn't a priest or a detective, instead he was a politician. . . So was the dead girl. . . What scarred Fredrick the most was not that the girl had been carved to ribbons, not that the same fate could happen to him. . . He was most scarred about the fact. . . She was a Bretonnian Princess. . . The Whole Dutchy of Couronne will soon know of this. . . King Charles will expect an answer from Emperor Franz quickly as to why his niece is carved to ribbons in the streets of Altdorf.
- Fredrick knew he had to do something. . . Without a second thought to it he went to see his man. . . His right hand. . . The wolf of House Sonnecough. . . Ulahn Brand. Ulhan knew where to get the right people, the right people to solve this crime. . . To keep Fredrick safe in the battle ground that is the Imperial court.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its is Via Ulahn Brand you are contacted. . . You are given the time and date to meet. . . As well as the place. . . The Priss'n Hat. A hole in the wall bar by the docks. . . Close to the murder that is now the talk of Altdorf.
Background Info: The Wars over the Empire's distant claims still rage. . . The Empire battles Orcs in the Eastern lands. Chaos invade the Snowy lands of Kislev. Undead, and more push from the Southern lands. . . The one thing the Empire has been good about. . . Has been peace with Tilea, Estalia, Araby, and Cathay. . . The other realms of humanity.
- It seems the Empire, as of late, has held tension with the other great power in the old world. . . The Bretonnian realm. After a royal family waged a bloody conquest over the land of the Border Princes, a rough peace had taken over. Though the conquest was successful, half of the Royal family had died or faded away in the books of history. The chaos of war erupted again not long after the campaign. . . The Kings and Princes of the Border Lands went back to their war like ways, erasing the Crusade and the very Knights themselves who tried to hold the land as their own.
- The Empire, naturally, tried to hold their claims in the land. . . only to cause political strife. Luckly, an Ogre Horde made sure both the Romantic Brettonians and the Disciplined Imperials were able to keep at peace with each other. Though for how long. . .

Is there to be any more posting on this thread, IC or OOC? (Should I even bother posting my character sketch?)

I'm trying to stay away from Forum posting. Becomes story boarding at that point. This game will be done VIA instant chat messages. You can post your char if you wish, that is purely up to you.
