Well after talking with B for a little I have decided to see about running a test group for Giest. While i am unsure of how the system works completely I am willing to give it a try.
I am gonna ask for only 4 other players, no more. Sorry if it feels like keeping some of you away but the larger the group the more difficult it will be to keep focused and play the game.
I am not gonna go by first come first serve, but will do my level best to go by group cohesion and back stories.
So send let me know who is interested? It might turn into 2 games with if a lot of people want to play, until we figure that out cant say for sure. I haven't Story told a WoD game yet, so this is a chance to give it go. I will go into more detail when/if people show interest.

I am very interested. Perhaps you have a little interview process we might be able to andwer by private message so you can narrow your options?
Maybe post something like that up here, so we can work our way toward a game start. There should be plenty of game start material in the book from which to pull such an interview.
I look forward to it!

K, I will throw down a quick set of "interview" questions, so that you guys have some thing to work with and I will let you know "where" the story is happening.
Interview: 1) What kind of normal life did you live before your death? 2)How did you die? 3)How did the return go? how did you handle always seeing dead people.
other things to think about and answer How old are you? What do you look like? How sensitive were you before? What was your bargain like? How are you different now?
And I was thinking of the having the story take place in L.A. Here's a little something to work with.
"Hey, I have on good word that you are able to see the "other" side. Well listen I am putting a Krew together and your abilities can be of some help, its better to work together some times and have a little help. Oh by the way my name is Tim Marcoh."
I can and will ask more questions as I get some steam going, so bear with me here.

Got a quick question before I start working on a character: What will the point, focus, and general theme/mood of the game be?

Got a quick question before I start working on a character: What will the point, focus, and general theme/mood of the game be? The point/focus? Well after a few session I will really base that off which way to group leans. Example lets say you guys want to seek justice, or gain power where you can, or even maybe help those that can't help themselves. The focus at the beginning will be settling unfinished business. Basically there will be "cases" that will require the group to solve, this will be set by your mentor, Tom. The man who is pulling you all together for this. Why will be explained during the first session. Theme well in the broadest sense, death. But also; What do you do with a second chance? Finishing undone work. How far done the rabbit hole are you willing to go? (Geist is twisted cause the death don't think like mortals) Mood, hhmmm....well right now I would say being alone in a crowd. Knowing that there are worse things then death. Does what we really do matter in the end? These themes/moods are what is on my mind right now, but might change with player input and as i read further into the book. Hope this answers your questions, and please leave room for incorporating the other characters into your story. There is no one star, its equal casting right now. Message me here, or on my phone and I am more then willing to "interview" your story

Although somewhat vague, you've answered my questions. I'll think about what I could make and then I'll get back to you with my ideas.

Yeah, sorry about the vagueness, like I haven't finished reading the book yet, I am only about a a quarter through. Though right now it looks to be more of a pain in the !@# cause nothing is set. It could be this, or could be that. These rules laws might be there or not.
This is a very player driven game, the book pretty much states that in the storyteller section, why? Cause the players can go in any direction they want and the game can still have the same themes/moods.
And like I said before please leave room in back story. Word for word the book states there has to be at least one good reason why you work together or whats the point. So I will do my level best to cater to your character "wants" since with out you I am just telling a story I already know the end to.

A few good reasons to work together can be as follows:
The dead can be seen, heard, and interacted with. We're already crazy, but we'll fall apart if someone else doesn't understand us.
We have one shot left, one more chance to set right a murder trial, to drive too fast and jump out of planes, one more try at making the things in the world that made us happy a little easier for others to achieve.
We all made a bargain. That should be well defined. And we won't rest until we feel that bargain has been fulfilled. And I don't know about you, but I'm gonna need help!
These are just a few. Feel free to add. Hell this should be easier than explaining why Vamps get together.

Alright people I am hoping to start playing soon, but before we begin I have a few questions and suggestions for those playing.
When is a good time for you guys? We play like 1, 2 times a month? Where?
Also before we start I would like to sit down and talk and further interview the players, while i have a idea of rocks and b's characters bael is fuzzy. I would like to sit down and help build some back ground, take notes, and have a starting point you guys can work with. Text me or leave a message on the forums

After hearing some ideas, and character history I have a decent idea of what motivates you guys. But we need to sit down as a group and hash out a time, input please. Like I said like only once or twice a month.
I have told you this before and if I haven't then I am stating here. The Geist is 50player/50storyteller for this game. I will control them from time to time for story. Each bargin, event, deal, contract is differnt. Once I have a ideas of your giest I will work with you and rp out the event.
Please questions, ask them cause when you ask I must look for a answer thus learn the system better for hopefully a better game

To all players that are in my game, I have a notice for all of you.
While i originally said that I would start in Jan/Feb as soon as Tony's werewolf game was over I am changing my mind. I plan on starting the 21th of this month.
I feel that I am losing the desire to run the game the longer it sits on the side line. So I am staring the 20th because otherwise I fear it will never be played and our time will have been wasted (again). So consider this my heads up as when we will start.
Any complaints or comments you guys know my number and of course you can reach me here on the site since now have the Internet back on.
[tony; sorry I want to run the game asap]

K, well we have knocked out the first session of Giest. I am posting to get feedback.
What was good about the session? What could be worked on? Am I giving room for development? Things that you would like to see in the flow of the game?
